#### Meet Pathfinder's Compliance Staff

![Tina Heyduk150dpi](https://otsegoacademy.org/images/Tina_Heyduk150dpi.jpg)Corporate Compliance Officer[ **Tina Heyduk**](mailto:theyduk@pathfindervillage.org) provides technical assistance and oversight for all Village departments and programs to help achieve Pathfinder's operational and strategic goals while maintaining compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations. She has served Pathfinder for over a decade and has experience in program oversight, service coordination, and daily operations in a 25-year career dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She's had oversight of multiple OPWDD service programs in her career and is dedicated to monitoring the quality of care that Pathfinder Village provides to individuals.

#### Our Corporate Compliance Program

- To prevent and deter fraud, waste, abuse, and criminal conduct.
- To promote an organizational environment that encourages ethical conduct and business practices that comply with the law.
- To create a system of internal controls that prevent inappropriate billing or other practices not permitted under Medicaid and Medicare programs, guidelines, and participation.
- Disclosing or using confidential information regarding the organization, staff, or its service recipients.
- Billing for services that were not provided.
- Falsifying company financial documentation.
- Accepting a bribe from a vendor or contractor for preferential treatment.
- Falsifying service provision documentation to justify billing or reimbursement.
- Documenting and billing for services provided by another staff person.
